Forwarding Platforms vs. Transit Platforms: What's the Difference?
It is important to note that storage times only apply to our forwarding platforms, which are located in France, the United Kingdom, and the United States (New Jersey).
Our transit platforms, located in Germany, Spain, Italy, and the United States (Delaware), do not store packages. They mainly serve as transit points for their routing to a forwarding platform.

Package Registration Procedure
Before being stored, your packages must be registered in our system. ColisExpat imposes a registration procedure that applies as soon as the packages are received on the docks of our warehouses. Storage Times: 30 Days Free, Then Fees Apply
Once your package is registered, our teams will transfer it to the storage area of our warehouse. From this moment on, you have 30 days free storage.
After this period, and until the 60th day, storage fees of €0.50 per day per package will apply.
Beyond this period, i.e., after 60 days of storage, we consider your package to be “abandoned”. We then reserve the right to destroy it or donate it to a charity.

To clearly visualize the storage days of your packages, we have assigned a different color to each storage stage in your Customer Area:
- In green: your package has been in our warehouse for less than 15 days, storage is free.
- In yellow: Attention, your package has been in the warehouse for more than 15 days, please consider forwarding it before storage becomes chargeable.
- In red: your package has been in storage for more than 30 days, fees will be charged.
- In black: your package has exceeded the 60-day storage limit. In accordance with our general terms and conditions of sale, it will be destroyed in the coming days.

Why a Limited Storage Period?
We receive a large number of packages every day and our storage space is limited. In order to ensure the proper management of our warehouse and guarantee optimal service quality, we must limit the storage duration of packages.
Tips for Facilitating Package Storage
To facilitate the processing of your packages and reduce waiting times, we strongly recommend that you include your name, first name, and ColisExpat customer reference number in the delivery address you provide to the merchant. This information, which you can find in your Customer Area, in the “My Account” section under the “ColisExpat Addresses” heading, will allow our teams to easily identify your package and put it in stock without delay.
