Belgium: blockades due to strikes

Updated: 16/02/2025

The national mobilisation against the government, scheduled for Thursday 13 February, has led to blockades at several sorting centres. These strike actions are currently affecting Wallonia and various sectors, in particular the Liège and Charleroi sorting centres.

As a result, delays are expected in international parcel shipments. ColisExpat uses sorting centres in Belgium via the BPost network. Although the number of parcels transiting through Belgium is relatively limited, some shipments pass through this country before being forwarded internationally.

For the moment, no impact has been observed in Flanders.

Russia & Belarus

Our forwarding services remain suspended to these destinations until further notice. If you have already sent your parcels and they are with our partners, we will not be able to return them to you immediately. You will have to wait until the situation is resolved.
